In February 2024, the regional group Koforidua carried out a waste clean-up campaign in the city center of Koforidua. 200 highly motivated participants collected about one tonne of plastic waste within three hours. The waste was taken to the recycling company Zoomlion. Further waste collection campaigns are planned in Koforidua and the surrounding communities to make even more people aware of the waste problem in Ghana and to change their behavior. We would like to thank the Rotary Club Brühl, whose donations made this successful campaign possible.
