Regional group Amberg has built an incinerator for infectious waste in the Tanzanian city Nkoaranga. The local project partner was the Nkoaranga Lutheran Hospital. Four members of “Technology without borders” not only built the incinerator, but also conducted workshops to introduce the hospital staff to the incinerator.
Our project partners on-site informed us about damages to the incinerator. A crack through a concrete element causes fume to emit.
Goal of this project is the reconstruction of the incinerator. Our team is also going to focus on the training of the hospital staff.
In August 2017, one member of our regional group is going to go on the journey to Nkoaranga.
